Double taxation vs. Pass thru taxation: Which role fits me better?

An "S" corporation evades the commonplace double taxation of a "C" corporation by 'pass thru' taxation to the shareholders only. However, one of the IRS requirements to be an "S" corporation is that it must have less than 75 shareholders, all of which must be individuals, not institutional investors.
