A corporation is a separate legal entity from its owner. However, in excrutiating circumstances, the court will "pierce the corporate veil" and ignore the separatedness of the entities. Covenants not to compete

"Covenants not to compete" are agreements not to compete with a former employer for some period of time after leaving an employer. Georgia is a "blue pencil" state whereby if a covenant not to compete is too broad, judges can effectively "erase" the broad provisions and "rewrite" the provisions so they are narrower and enforceable.
